Wednesday nights going deeper on the 2nd Coming

Wednesdays at 6:30 we follow up on the Sunday morning series ‘The 2nd Coming’. We’ll be taking the time to look at more scripture and include more discussion. Each Wednesday will stay on topic from the previous Sunday. Our goal is to have a view consistent with the Bible. Some events are absolutey clear, some mysterious, and some unknown. False views come with strong warnings. We will identify where the text lands in regards to these four areas. We do not want to add anything to the word of God nor take anything away.

When I quiet my mouth, when I kneel down, And when I raise my requests to heaven – I do not do it in vain, I do not do it with mere guessing – I do not plead to an unknown source, or something that does not hear.

I quiet my mouth, kneel down and raise my requests to heaven, to the One and Only God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. The same One and Only God Who rescued the people of Israel from the Egyptian enslavement. I pray my requests to the One and Only God of the universe – the Maker of all. The King of Kings – Lord of Lords is listening to my cry and He will hear and answer me.

I hope in Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God! For He has paid my price of sin. He alone has beat death & conquered the grave & He rules forever on earth and in the heavens.
Yes! My hope and trust is set in God the Father, Jesus Christ, & The Holy Spirit – in One… and in Him I will rejoice !!!

Mother’s Day at West Cypress

Join us as we honor our ‘Moms’ in the courtyard after the 10 am service. There will be a special ‘Mom’s Only’ Starbucks and See’s table that includes lots of coffee and chocolate. Plus all of our ‘Mom’s’ recieve flowers and extra love.

First Place 4 Health – Motivated to Wellness 12 week study, May 2nd

This ministry stengthens the spiritual, physical, emotional and mental aspects of our God given make up. Men and Women are welcome to this Bible based, Christ centered approach. The Motivated to Wellness series begins Wednesday May 2 in room 102 on the bottom floor of our educational wing just off the courtyard. Cost is $15 for the book. The time frame is from 6:30 – 8 PM. There are ministry programs for both children and youth that run simultaneously but are unrelated to First Place Four Health. For further info contact Cyndy at baeder@sbcglobal.net. Health issues can be so discouraging, come and get some encouragent for a change that will last.

Family Camp Weekend: Fri – Sunday, April 27-29 – San Clemente State Beach

Even if your not camping, there is plenty of room for day campers on Saturday. Cost of day camping is $15 per vehicle. Activities include catered dinner at $10 per adult, children get a free hot dog meal: Pinewood derby races (cars are $5): Cool Nature hikes conducted by renowned naturalist and native American Matt Teutimez (free): Dodge ball, (free except for medical costs): horse shoes and more including our guest speaker Anthony Garcia Saturday night. Sign up and pay for the Saturday dinner by Sunday April 22nd with Brad Wade after service in the courtyard.

The fine print: The sermon series on the second coming begins on Sunday Morning May 6, 10am. We’ll answer the following questions and more. What do we know for sure? Where are the real controversies? How concerned do I have to be?. Each Sunday’s message will be followed with a Wednesday night ‘Going deeper’ study at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. Warning! This program may be permanently interupted by the 2nd coming.

May 6th, Introduction to the four categories

What we know for sure
Likely events but there is still some mystery that allows for a different outcome
Popular views that have limited Biblical support
Distorted and Dangerous views

May 13th – 2 for sure outcomes plus one likely event with some mystery

May 20th – 1 for sure event and 1 popular view with limited Biblical support

May 27th – 3 like events that are very intertwined and very mysterious

June – More ’2nd Coming’ coming
