Sunday Morning/Encounter Messages for Winter and Spring 2012

Friday, September 16th, 2011

We are looking at one chapter of the Gospel of Mark each week for 15 weeks beginning January 15th. Mark was the first book of the New Testament written and was most likely in wide circulation prior to the year 70. It is the concise story of Jesus and is considered a foundation to the expanded works of Matthew and Luke. In Mark the power of Jesus explodes into the lives of the Jews of the first century. He leaves little doubt as to his identity as the Christ. However, this amazing life drives people one way or the other. They must conclude that he is truly the Son of God or they must reject him altogether. When we read Mark we are taking in the same fresh and dynamic message that set the Roman world spinning. We too are called to make a radical decision of the heart. Is Jesus the Christ – yes or no? And if he is, will I surrender to his claim on my life? Go deeper with this insightful series at either the 10 AM service or the 5PM service. Teachers will be Pastors Steve, Brian and Brandon.
